About Doug Bauman The Bauman Group

The Bauman Group brings a synchronization of over 40 years’ worth of experience, skills and commitment to help you realize your Montana Real Estate goals. We are both native Montanans with friends and family in towns and on ranches throughout Montana. We are well acquainted with Big Sky Country Homes and Ranches. Doug is passionate about customer service, a result of working at their family business, Eddies Corner, Inc., a successful Central Montana restaurant, bar and truck-stop, from a young age. After attending Montana State University and serving as an Air Traffic Controller in the U.S. Navy, he married Charla and continued to use his customer service and sales skills in the Food Industry, managing restaurants and as a sales representative for a large food wholesale supplier while they raised their two daughters. Their girls later married and settled down in Missoula, which prompted a move to the west side of Big Sky Country in 2005. A career in Real Estate was a natural fit, due to their knowledge of rural living in Montana and agricultural life. With friends and family throughout the state, they have a vast referral network and are a trusted source of information. Charla's Real Estate background as Admin, Design and Marketing coupled with Doug's expertise in Government Property Regulations and Resources make for a winning team. They are well equipped and ready to help you with your real estate needs in the Bitterroot Valley. Prior to working in Real Estate, Charla worked in Orthopaedics as a Medical Assistant/Xray Tech before becoming a Radiation Therapist. The attention-to-detail and procedural skills that she developed in the medical field have been extremely useful for helping our clients through the complicated process of buying and selling a home. Today, Doug and Charla live on a small acreage, irrigated property in the Bitterroot Valley. Charla was one of two Master Gardeners trained in the “Living on the Land” course by the Ravalli County Extension Service, specific to small acreage management with emphasis on pasture management. Together, they have raised sheep, chickens, and a large garden. They enjoy riding their horses on the many trails in the Bitterroot with their dogs, Sis and Piper. Must mention the cats, Tux and George, although they don’t go on trail rides. We look forward to meeting you and helping make your search for a home or sale of your property a rewarding experience with the promise of always going above and beyond to help you realize your dreams.
